“We can’t keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth.”
“We can’t even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with their saviour.”
“Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our power over them is broken.”
“So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners, BUT steal their time, so they don’t have time to develop a relationship with Jesus Christ..”
“This is what I want you to do,” said the devil:
“Distract them from gaining hold of their Saviour and maintaining that vital connection throughout their day!”
“How shall we do this?” his demons shouted.
“Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds,” he answered.
“Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow.”
“Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles.”
“Keep them from spending time with their children.”
“As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from the pressures of work!”
“Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice.”
“Entice them to play the radio or cassette player whenever they drive.” To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see to it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music constantly.”
“This will jam their minds and break that union with Christ.”
“Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers.”
“Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day.”
“Invade their driving moments with billboards.”
“Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services and false hopes..”
“Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands will believe that outward beauty is what’s important, and they’ll become dissatisfied with their wives. “
“Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night.”
“Give them headaches too! “
“If they don’t give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to look elsewhere.”
“That will fragment their families quickly!”
“Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the real meaning of Christmas.”
“Give them an Easter bunny so they won’t talk about his resurrection and power over sin and death.”
“Even in their recreation, let them be excessive.”
“Have them return from their recreation exhausted.”
“Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on God’s creation. Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies instead.”
“Keep them busy, busy, busy!”
“And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences. “
“Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek power from Jesus.”
“Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health and family for the good of the cause.”
“It will work!”
“It will work!”
It was quite a plan!
The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere to get busier and more rushed, going here and there.
Having little time for their God or their families.
Having no time to tell others about the power of Jesus to change lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?

Why we Filipinos Choose Other Countries for Life

First of all I want to make a comment on one of the journalist on inquirer.net about filipinos going abroad. To start with this is a fair review and he has respect for many Filipinos who wants to work abroad its our choice anyway, He just hoped that we Filipinos share our skills and talents in our own Country, I qouted his paragraph on one of his article– “The irony is that in the Philippines, it’s almost taken for granted that you have to work abroad. Isn’t it strange that we have to convince ourselves to stay? And while I’m sure my friends who have chosen to work abroad mean well, sometimes I get sick of some of them asking when I’m going abroad dahil sayang lang ang talino mo diyan sa Pinas — many of you have probably heard variations on that theme.”

Frankly Speaking my friend if we have any other choice we would be glad and happy to stay here in the philippines for work. I mean who would like to leave his country and family to work for other people? to other nation?. We Filipinos have distinct Intellect, wisdom, skills, unequalled pride and yet we tend to nurture them elsewhere. To the extent that we excel in other countries than on our own. Some of Us even made names abroad and I’m not speaking those popular stars who went there or gained stradom in other countries but ordinary filipinos, names not known but for some and yet they made a leverage on where they are and some have gained stardom. Just for example the leading lady of popular disney made for TV movie High School Musical is half filipina?. Some even made it to executive level of foreign companies, Some become big businesspeople, investor, entrepreneur, A Colony Governor? Inventors…. etc…. well we really have promising countrymen don’t you think?

Well anyway let’s go forth to the employment culture now in the Philippines. I Hope you Notice this but if I where you try to observe or even research about employment oppurtunities in the Philippines. And I’m not talking about why many Filipinos don’t have jobs or the Philippines has a very high Unemployment rate and many college graduates don’t have jobs, It’s Just that they cannot be employed because of the Very high Standards the employers are implementing or should I say unlikely standards. Just like in some or most I think huge Store or a Mall Like Iloilo Supermart, Gaisano, SM, blah,blah they require a COLLEGE Graduate just to carry loads of boxes from warehouse to display areas … though this can be done by highschool grads or Level. If that was the Standard for such job and the likes then i cannot fathom the standard if you really want a most promising carreer.

I was lucky to end up in a job where I can use my skills and talents but the fact is it isn’t enough to make a living on my own, and i am not happy with it, eventhough what I earn is slightly higher than the local minimum wage. I heard once that the amount is slightly equal a manager (“that’s in our area here in Iloilo”) its pathetic, well unless you are employed to a multi-national company and earn a sufficient wage. But Then there’s the problem coz no matter how skilled, talented experienced, and knowledgeable you are in a certain field there is still no guarantee that you will be hired, We’ll unless you are a graduate of prominent universities graduate on top of the class even without experience would you believe becoming executive straight out of college? and working for the first time with no knowledge and experience at all compared to their subordinates of have years of expertise? well it really pays to have good grades, EXPENSIVE school, and in addition it’s only due to education, but there is a culture that executives of those company developed. A culture on how many of their brethren ( Graduate of the same school as they are) that would be hired. Oh I forgot, another one is if you have a prominent family at your back of course…. And you thought this only happens to government agencies…. What’s worst is that if you are applying in a government agency, All positions are filled-up up tough they are really vacant and there always has lack of personnel. I wonder why? Nepotism?……

Going Abroad is our only last hope. we have a family to feed and take care of. I mean look at it you can’t even provide yourself the life you want, worst of all what if you have a family? You have to take care of your old folks, your younger brother who is going to college, buy a comfortable house, send your children to school, feed them, buy medicines, bring them to a hospital when they are sick… what else? I know I missed more but the important thing is totally based on knowing you cannot do that. Please make an assessment, How much are the tuition fees today? even public schools has fees not to mention their daily allowances for transportation and food, the price of a medicine, Hospitalization even on a public hospital so expensive(public hospitals are supposed to be free), cost of commodities? then sum-up how much you can earn and given the disgusting employment culture in the philippines. How much can you spend on neccessities? How do you earn? are they even balanced?. That’s really the big problem in our country, not to mention that new entrepreneurs are losing business because of very high tax collections of the government that they’d rather put their money on the bank than build a business, also not to mention the IMBECILE government, the corrupt (Damned) officias confiscating or closing down rival businesses, another are the armed leftist group who extorts them of money, protecting their friends business eliminating their rivals literally(family experience), killing at will and be forgiven afterwards because of amnesty, And I say WOW they are really big bullshits and they say it’s for the sake of the nation. “FUNNY” and their allies always complains about HUMAN RIGHTS?

If going to abroad will be the answer then I rather Risk it, (you have to be wise of course especially in choosing the right employment or travel agency). It is useless to use your talents and skills in here in the philippines, and if I cannot use those skills abroad(working on a different field that what you are at) but as long as I can Provide a Life to my Family then Be it I’ll take the risk, if I can send my brothers and children to school, feed my Family, give them all medical attention if they are sick, Tell my Mother and Father to Take a rest co’z I’ll take care of everything, muster enough money for capital to start a business on my own then why not go to abroad. I mean many of our countrymen have done those things and look at their lives now are’nt you envios of them? of course I will be back here when I am old and because of the mustered financial capital, started my very own business, my children, and brothers become a professional and are living a stable life, A house that I built because of the money I earned abroad then I don’t have to worry anything. If all of that could be resolved elsewhere as I said I will risk the chance rather than risk everything here, where risk is so futile and utterly pathetic.

Anime Fever

Anime from wikipedia states (アニメ, Anime^? IPA pronunciation: /ɑnime/ in Japanese, but typically /ˈænɪˌme(ɪ)/ or /ˈænəˌme(ɪ)/ in English) is an abbreviation of the word “animation”. Outside Japan, the term most popularly refers to animation originating in Japan. To the West, not all animation is considered anime; and anime is considered subset of animation. So what is the fuzz with these anime’s from other animations from Warner Brother’s, Looney tunes, Disney, and others. we’ll in essence while these animations captures the young generation toddlers and pre-schoolers and seldom teens. Then there comes Anime which has a much broader audience as it captures the interest and hearts of teens specifically.

Teens typically consider cartoons or animations as child’s interest but in Anime it takes a whole different perspective. If you ever wathced some of the popular Anime’s one’s even released world wide like Shaman King, Zoids, Gundam, Pokemon, Fushigi Yuugi, Naruto…. Etc.. you’ll know there’s lot essence to it than just pencil, pen and colors. What I like About this niche is the essence and content of the stories well  I have to admit there where some that is just lame to be produces.

Anyway i really Admired these animators especifically on how they express emotions through drawing and sometimes if emotions are so intense you’ll get carried away with them, they could easily portray the characters expression and let audience feel them just by animation and with a good dub definitely you’ll get hooked. The story itself is well chosen the genre’s, the graphics the time it well send you away into Another dimension. For an Anime to be successfull it’s not just about the action, the effects, characters that molds it, the most important thing Anime is a hit is because of it’s unique stories and intriguing characters that will hook you to your seats and if you have DVD’s and if you are not concerned about the wear of your player and TV, tired eyes you’ll never stop till you finish the story even it takes you 2 straight days to watch them.

Every Character in the anime can represent an individuals perception, fantasies and that the audience felt or sees themselves from the chracaters. One thing I just want to say is tha ANIME’S are just magnificent and brilliant and I admire those behind them and acknowledge them as geniuses. ANIME RULES……..

Alternative Fuel, Our Hope, Our Future

In our Time today our energy sources rely mainly to the processing and consumption of crude oil. It has been imminent that the role of crude oil in our lives is very vital. Why is that so? It is because businesses and industry needs electricity to run their day to day operations, workers, laborers, children going to school and even ordinary people need a fast and comfortable means of transportation to bring them to the place they want. Majority of our Electricity is being produced by Oil power ed power plants and so as to our transportations which uses processed crude oils. In our current situation oil prices globally aren’t going down they keep rising to the extent that even our economy is affected. The high prices in commoditities, the mass lay-off of laborers, and workers and the growth of investments slowing down due to rise in operational cost. Thus energy conservation should be enforced among consumers and the search and research for the production and utilization of alternative fuels should end soon. When will they come up with the most viable alternative fuel? They have to discover them soon or we will be expecting a much worse oil crisis than what had happened 3 decades ago where oil prices rose up as much as 400% and results to the collapse economies around the globe.

According to some experts the production of oil would start to decline against the continue rise of its demand and this will happen sooner than we think. Relatively to some extent our oil dependent economy will collapse and poverty levels will rise, as of what had happened on the previous oil price hikes. It is logically possible to think that our planet’s oil reserves and supply is starting to deplete. Try to think that our planet took millions of years if not thousands to produce oil and we consume millions of barrels a day? I don’t think a computation for this would be necessary just common sense.

There are already several alternative fuels on tests and experiment today, maybe we have heard of water, bio diesel, hydrogen, natural gas,  and ethanol as Alternatives to crude oil. But its viability, production and utilization are still in question. In water for example it needs to be converted to gases first before it being used as fuel to your engine, but some experts say that the split of hydrogen and oxygen from water is much more expensive than producing oil, in hydrogen some feared that it’s like you are carrying an atomic bomb on the street this is because the bombs that where used in World War II is a hydrogen bomb. And there are rumors that big oil producers and exporters are trying to get the hold of alternative fuel or preventing the viability of this. Who would lose their business if Alternative fuels came to exist makes some sense huh? Also the government has the responsibility in resolving the issues regarding fuel they must give the support in research and development (If they are not corrupted by the big Crude Oil Producers). to answer the current and possibly the future oil problem. If Alternative fuels are not available in the near future? What will happen to us? Let us be prepared of what catastrophe it will bring us.

 

Troubled Mind…… Emotions, Depressions…..

You know what? If a person could dictate what he could feel or to make it more elaborate if we can dictate what we should feel, would that be much better for all of Us? Does it make us a better person or should I say are we still human?

On Basic Concepts the Science of Psychology if I May recall, Emotions are merely a trigger of Electrons or neurons or whatever it is called in the nervous system, I might say its an anomaly that dictates the behavior of some of our organs. If it is so why is it so hard to comprehend? That when you feel pain though you are not physically wounded? What is this? For me these so called emotions are still a mystery sometimes I wonder why we have one. And then you could hear someone say “you’re are not human you can’t feel anything”… naaah I would be glad if the so called emotions did not exist…

Anyways it’s just like it I’m stressed now and YES depressed. And if I have a choice of what and what I cannot feel it would have been great, unfortunately I can’t. I didn’t have enough rest for a couple of months lets say I could sleep several hours a day, not to mention the pressures that comes in your way, person who is important to you often times misunderstood you and now left you alone… haaaaah… I’m Freak’ n out……. Seems like the world becomes more heavier all you ever just wanted was a little more time and understanding, and for that……..??????

I can’t do anything about them, but one way or the other I need to be relieved and I can’t think of other Options but this… Writing well this is my first time doing this hope I did good…. hmmmp… it doesn’t matter anyways…

I’ve always been fond of gaming to forget things but Gaming has been a Normal Habit for me so it does not have any effect plus it minus your budget… hehehe

The aroma, that sweet bitter taste, the satisfaction of drinking, what will your day be without coffee?, Truly the numbers of coffee lovers are astounding and did you know that coffee industry is the second most traded commodity in the world next to crude oil?, now that is surprising isn’t it? and even one of the most profitable businesses today. The history of coffee took a long route since its discovery way back from the 9^th century, and since then it has become a natural part of our society. From coffeehouses of as early as 16^th century it has evolved into our modern day Coffee shops and now lots of coffee shops offers services such as wireless connectivity to internet these places are called “Hot Spots” that is if you have a Wireless ready laptop or PDA you could surf the internet and retrieve Emails, this has been a friendly hangout place for those Internet savvy and Business professionals who loves a cup of delicious coffee beside them.

Given the Popularity of Coffee and the number of drinkers, the concern for health effects remains a challenge. Caffeine is a main substance in coffee and there were issues and conflicts regarding the effects of coffee in our body. There are reports and studies which relates coffee drinking to cardiovascular and heart problems but on the other and recently there are studies that concludes that coffee is harmless and that it is even beneficial to the body. To name some of the benefits; it’s a pain reliever, A study of 46,000 men who drinks 2-3 cups of coffee a day were 40% less likely to develop Gallstones an anomaly in the digestive system’s organ the gallbladder, it increases brain activity, and initial findings shows that caffeine lower the incidence of Parkinson’s disease. Truly drinking too much coffee may increase the health risk but on the contrary having too much of something is really bad. It’s just like having a glass of wine or whisky a day would help in the protection of the heart but drinking too much will destroy your liver.

The rise in number of Coffee Shops and Café’s shows that it Coffee is one of a well loved commodity. You have your choices on how you want your coffee be prepared… Hot or Chilled. As of today there are lots of gourmet coffees mixes and Blends on which one can experiment with different food ingredients to create some very unique and delicious coffee mixes, For the Basics about Coffee, here are the common mixes and Blends; The espresso a very strong extract of coffee from beans, which is known as the real coffee, the Americano which is coffee with a 2/3 parts of water, the Latte is Coffee with 2/3 parts milk, Cappuccino is equal parts of Milk, Froth and Coffee wi th a dash of cinnamon, and mocha same as cappuccino but instead of cinnamon 1 part of chocolate syrup. Weird Science.. Human Brain Cells to Animals

It was about this article from Livescience.com that scientist in a University in US is conducting a study of possibly imbedding human genes specifically human brain serums to rats. Their purpose is that they want to know how much an animal will evolve when subjected to human genes. how fast ther learning process, the behaviour etc. Now if you are going to ask me that is sick. what are they trying to do? we’ll they should be very carefull it is scary to think how animals will evolve like humans as the author of the article say. Have you seen the Movie “Planet of the Apes?” where the world where apes are smart as modern humans and that they are the superior beings and humans are treated only as their servants, Scary Isn’t it? We’ll these scientists maybe pretty sure of the consequences of their experiments otherwise I fear for the worse. To be fair, having this kind of experiment might have some impact to human lives, that could help us to be better but basically these are done to discover new medicines. But after the study as it stated all the rats should be killed, why? because it is an anomaly to nature if they escape their offspring will not be an experiment it’s it’s an evolution with a much greater intelligence, I don’t have to state the details but imagine rats as intelligent as Humans? SCARY… I think scientists should let the world live as it is and find ways how to heal rather than how to deviate from the Normal… what do you think?

 

How Effective is the Power of Thinking WITHOUT Thinking?

i Have Read this tiny book entitled “BLINK — The Power of Thinking Without Thinking” I forgot the Author Though. Literally this means having to have an Idea or action without the second thought or simply say an spontaneos act… well in other words act instinctively. I was amazed on how successful are the individuals depicted on the book and most of them are prominent and successfull people, and that they could come-up to a decision or action in an instant without even thinking and brought them to fame and success, especially into coming up in a decision that requires immediate action you’ll just pop-up a deciding action without having much discussion at hand…instantly you devise a strategy in split seconds. Now that is the good part but what is not included in the book is about the actions bought by temper, anger, hate sorrow. Clearly this kinds of emotions roughly or mostly suceptible to Mistakes and always regret clearly an individuals actions and within these state, it tend to hurt others or do more harm than good.  Still i think this kind of psychological aspect of human is very helpfull in terms of success and besides you never know what the future holds and I believe that all of us rely on fate and It is in our hands how we can handle this so called fate.
